The Printer is Turned on, but Displays no Power, Lights, or Sounds; the Power Cycles On and Off
Step 1
Verify the printer's power source
Solution: Isolate the printer to eliminate all other possible causes

Networks and peripheral devices can cause a wide range of unusual symptoms. To verify that the problem you are experiencing isn't being caused by the printer, perform the following steps.

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Disconnect all cables from the back of the printer, except for the power cord.
  3. Check and reseat the configuration card if installed.
  4. Turn the printer on and print any internal page from the printers front panel. A Menu Map, or any other page will do. If the page prints the symptom is likely caused by one of the network or peripheral connections and it is not a printer hardware problem.
